Lightsaber day 2 and 3
Lightsaber is done except the control box on the side of the lightsaber. That should be done on day 4 or possible today. The nubs at the end of the lightsaber was kind of difficult. I still need to fix that part of the lightsaber. The rest of it looks really great and I'm happy with it. The handle also gave me a little problem but I figured it out in my own little way. That it for today maybe I'll post something later if get something finished.

Lightsaber Day 1
This is what I have done on day one on the lightsaber. Making the vertex and straight lines then snapping set vertexes to the graph so when revolving the lightsaber would line up right. Then beveling the horizontal edges so the lightsaber would have more of a realistic feel and look to it.

Apophysis
Basic under standing of the program is to turn a basic flame to a higher and better result flame. Using the editor and adjustment screens are your main use of the program to transform your flame. Generally you start with just dots but when you go to the adjustment screen you can choose the height, blur, background, color, and so on. You can also change render settings and add curves in the adjustments screen. The editor is the main use of changing the flames shape. There are many selective settings. A couple of examples are polar, spiral, cylinder, and lots more. You use these triangle to form what direction you want the flame to go in and how the flamer will shape. You can duplicate the triangles or make a new one to change very direction if you have the others set in a spot you like. Lot of changing numbers to get what you exactly want. There is also a number bar in the main menu selection bar. It changes the quality of the flame, the bigger the number the slower it renders. It also auto renders when you change a setting in the editor and the adjustment menus. You could use this flames in backgrounds on a computer, project, and maybe movies. Also could be used in various screen savers.

1 Point lighting
1st point rendering of object but it won't render with the decay on quadratic set only when no decay is set. This is what is has been done on day 2 also maybe 2nd point light. Diffidently going to try to fix this lighting before I move on so may have another one point rendering before class ends.

3 point lighting project day 1
Creating a 3 light and rendering set object to make the object pop out. By using the 3 light the in different positions will make the object try to stand out with minimal shadow and make the shadows left will make it look better initially. The image above is what I have done for day one so far. More progression in day 2 will occur.

Camera Problems
The rotation of the camera is messing with how the camera should appear on the screen. I've try to change my rotation on the camera but will not work. There are multiple areas where the rotation just thrown the camera around. I try changing the rotation but it won't change and the camera keeps getting thrown around. I've try moving the camera but it still does not do any thing for the camera. I have even try to change the settings on the camera and view shots but nothings worked so far. I'll keep trying to fix it.

Light
Playing around with the animation and camera angles. I set the keys and when I play the animation the first frame was right on the mark then the animation got funny were it looks like some doing back flips and stopping and still get the shot of the table it is so weird but funny because when you play it backwards the animation looks even funnier. I try fixing it but I can't get it to without the camera flipping all over the place which is the one part I can not fix. I try rotating and moving the camera but it does not want to work. The animation is still funny forwards or backwards.

Lighting Finish
Light project finished didn't have much difficulty with this this one is very simple. Basically your playing with the light and shadows and different camera angles to get different prescriptive of the lighting and shadows. The lighting effect is the challenging part because the positioning and to get it to fit right with the desk and lamp. The spot light showing through the desk to the floor was another challenging the setting are kind of hard to find but you find them eventually, because I had to retrace my steps and look thoroughly when trying to find the setting I want to use.

Orange and Apple Finish
Just finish the apple and the orange project I actually finish the apple last class that image rendering of the apple is the finish project. The orange is finish this is what work on in this class. There was no problems on the orange I figure it out quick and finish really early. I will be starting on lesson 3 of the project which is lights, shadows, and cameras. I'm not going to put the apple rendering on this post because you can see it in my last post that is the finish project. The orange rendering will go on this post for the finish project.

Rendering Apple
Rendering the apple in the render part of the instructions. Setting all of the rendering setting for the apple. Getting the image perspective of where the apple should be on the render view screen. Changing setting constantly to get good render work. Changing color in the scene to change the scene in render view. The settings are a little difficult to understand. Where to find certain setting are also hard to find. Some of the instructions are hard to follow as well. The more I do the more I figure out in the project instructions and settings. This is what is done for the day.

Rendering
Working on rendering projects first one is the apple. Just put color on the apple, background, and base. This is what is being done today. Plan is to get to the render next class. Trying to figure out the instruction for the shading and colors for the different objects. How to get to the different colors and making ones that don't exist in the color wheel. Create beige color or a light blue that matches the pics in the instructions.

Finish Helmet
This is my finish helmet there are rough edges. I try to sooth out the edges as best as I could but that didn't happen like I wanted it to. The edges I couldn't smooth really well because I try to keep my helmet symmetrical with each sided. I also try to make the geometry the same to even it out and make it smooth that way but when trying to stay symmetrical and smooth at the same time made it hard to do one or the other. This is the finish result. It would of turn out better if I actually imported the images of the helmet to sculpt the helmet instead of looking at the image from the work book and free styling the helmet. Sometimes I don't follow the instruction real well but I do try over and over to complete the instructions. Its not like I don't try or anything but this is what was produced. Enjoy.

day 5 helmet
Made the face shield and extruding details on the bottom of the jaw. Going to put on the other side of the face tomorrow and finish the helmet tomorrow. The face visor gave me a hard time as well as the bridging of the jaw to the helmet. My helmet is not going to exactly look like the helmet in the picture. I'll show the helmet from auto-desk/Maya to compare mine from their helmet. You should see a lot of differences between the two helmets.

Day 4 Helmet
Restarted the helmet because I didn't like the way it was turning out before. Back to snapping the jaw plate with the helmet. This is what is done for day four of the helmet. Day five I should be further but right now just recreated where I was before on the first helmet. So far I am liking how the new helmet is turning out. I haven't had any problems yet because it was just retracing my steps. The helmet should now be done on day seven to eight, due to the recreating of the helmet. I restarted it because the outline didn't look aline and not as much of the helmet shape I wanted to get out of the project.

Day 3 Helmet
Day 3 of the helmet bridging the jaw plate with the actually helmet the bridging part of the helmet is hard at first but after many attempts to bridge the two pieces together the bridging become easier. The item have to be selected together and made whole to bridge them together. This is what is being done today and other varies things on the helmet on day 3 so far. Be posting the 4th day on next Monday or Tuesday I don't know when the next 3D and Animation class is because pre-sat exam are on Wednesday during first and second period on the next green day. Also the helmet should be close to finishing the helmet on the next couple of class days when we do have class. Then moving on to the next project that we need to do.

Day 2 Helmet
This is what I have done with the helmet so far. Extruding the jaw plate and alining the vertex's from the jaw to aline with the helmet vertex's. Cleaning up the polygon surfaces and make it a for flowing helmet and make the image as smooth as possible. Had some problems with reshaping things how I wanted to be shaped. The vertex's did give me a hard time on putting them where I wanted them. The more time I spent the more I got it to look as I wanted to.
